About Tony Geer

I’m the Head of Digital at Abovegroup Ogilvy, located on the outskirts of Port-of-Spain in sunny Trinidad. I lead a small team that works with Brand Strategy and Creative to set and execute digital strategies for a wide range of clients, from multinationals to local non-profits.

I was born and raised in Guyana, but moved to Trinidad in 2007 with my twin brother to attend the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business at the University of the West Indies where we both read for our International Master of Business Administration. I earned a Distinction and copped the Director’s Award for Academic Excellence and Contribution to Student Life, something that I couldn’t have achieved without the help of my brother, so I’ve always felt like I won it for both of us.

I enjoy hanging out with Sparkle, a stray dog that my girlfriend and I adopted.

I’m also an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction and non-fiction books within my field. Some of my favourite authors include George R.R. Martin (I was a huge fan before the HBO series), Steven Erikson, China Mieville and Joe Abercrombie.
