Cameron Moll Colosseo iPad Martian Giveaway

Noted designer Cameron Moll has created another lovely letterpress poster, this time based on the Roman Coliseum. It took over 250 hours of carefully crafting Goudy Trajan, Bembo Pro and glyphs from Italian calligrapher M. M. Giovambattista Palatino, but the results are quite worthwhile.

I recently bought one the 24″ x 16″ versions of the poster, of which there are only 1000 copies being made and I can’t wait to get it in the mail and frame it.

I had a few hours of time to kill and was in a creative mood so I decided to register the domain http://www.cameronmollipadgiveaway.com/ and throw up a quick site. It’s a good idea for me to also link to it using the keywords that Cameron is looking for: cameron moll colosseo ipad martian giveaway.

The site uses Mr. Eaves Sans and Mrs. Eaves Modern XL for the headings, which I thought work really well and match the look and feel that Cameron has going on the official site. The site also links to the iPad contests, as well as the martian giveaway of the limited edition version of his poster.

As I said, I can’t wait to get my poster in the mail, and I’d encourage those of you who can afford it to purchase a copy of the either the limited edition letterpress or the signed letterpress poster.

I think the contest is going to work really well for Cameron and that’s great – he’s put in a lot of work into it.
