Downtime, new hosting

May 14th, 2007 • 3

So the site was down for a couple of days while I switched hosting companies. Dreamhost has had a lot of downtime lately and is just plain unreliable, you get exactly what you pay for. The downtime wouldn’t be that bad if it were only my site affected, but since I also host the sites of a few clients, it was clearly unacceptable.

Anyway, I’m in the middle of a couple of projects that I’m eager to show off, so you’ll be seeing those soon.

Hey dude!! I found your site through northxeast (I think you commented there?) and I love the design! Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see what you have in store! :D

Hey Pristine, I’m glad you like what you see. I’ve got a couple projects launching soon that I’m pretty proud to show off!

Hey there, what webhost are you using now, if you don’t mind sharing? I am still on Dreamhost for now but think I might want to migrate elsewhere if things continue to decline… I should also probably stop reading their newsletters. The cheerful, chummy, “clever” attitude of the writer really irks me.

Tony evaluated what we wanted to do, and implemented it efficiently and effectively; and when we kept piling on new features, using new tool-sets, he rose to the challenge, and saved the project.
